The Dawes Arc electric folding bike has been revamped with an all-new design and near-doubling of its battery range while retaining the classic easy-fold features it has become known for amongst commuters and the caravan, motorhome and boating communities. The Arc has a 375wh integrated battery that provides up to 40 miles/64km of range and can be charged from flat in 5 hours. The power is delivered by the well-regarded Bafang rear hub motor system that provides 32nm of torque, easily assisting you up steep hills and making light work across flat terrain. It also has a USB port that allows you to charge your phone or other accessories when you reach your destination. The motor has various modes of assist that can be chosen from the backlit handlebar display while also providing you essential information such as battery level, current speed, trip distance and total distance. The Dawes Arc is fitted with a 1x7 speed Shimano Altus/Tourney gearing system with an upgraded trigger shifter for solid gear shifts and confidence inspiring mechanical disc brakes that will safely bring you to a stop come rain or shine. Over many years of developing folding bikes, we find that using a 20" wheel offers the perfect blend of comfort, stability and speed compared to a 16” whilst also small enough to fold down to a compact size. This wheel size comes into its own with high volume 20x2.40” tyres that boosts comfort and makes you feel like you are riding a bike with suspension – but without the added weight. Folding the Dawes Arc is quick, simple, and easy to do – with pedals that fold in, a stem that folds down and the main frame that folds in half. In 3 easy steps and less than 15 seconds, you have a bike that can be stowed away neatly and its just as quick to build it back and get out on the road. The lightweight alloy frame helps keep the weight down for lifting in and out of storage or onto public transport. With its carefully designed one-size-fits-all geometry and adjustable height stem, it is suitable for riders 5'0" to 6'2" (152cm to 188cm). To finish the bike off with everything you need for all weather riding and commuting, a specially designed pannier rack, full length mudguards and kickstand are included as standard.
